Make an impact in your community!
Non-profit boards are in need of dedicated members to bring one (or more) of the three T's: time, talent, and treasure! At Art Impact Project, we also seek a fourth component; community ties. Our hyper-focus on serving Lake County provides residents and area stakeholders with a chance to do good in the community where they live, work, and play!

Patty Charhut, an independent consultant for 20+ years in communications, collaborates with non-profits, small businesses and individuals. Patty’s guiding mantra: Go where the need is greatest.
I've always loved the world of artists and other creatives and have great respect for the power of art on people: the makers and those who view/experience their work. This opportunity allows me to blend my previous NFP experience through the lens of an artist/creative.

What does the AIP mission mean to me and how does it connect to my life?
In its own beautiful way, art and its manifestation is unique to each individual. AIP's staff and volunteers guide people through their emotions, thoughts, feelings and actions using art as their vehicle of expression, allowing full flexibility in how they communicate. This approach is so empowering and life-shaping and -changing. I come from a family of artists, and in their darkest struggles they reached toward art to work through and squelch their demons. Sadly, they couldn't do it alone. I wish they had experienced Art Impact Project's guided instruction to help them connect the power of art to their inner superpowers to help them overcome their challenges.
How do I hope to add value to Art Impact Project as a Board member?
Having now witnessed the power of art on building bridges between fragility/vulnerability and healing/acceptance, I hope to help augment the stories of success, build community interest and measurable action (volunteering, financially supporting, attending events, being an ally), and go where the need is greatest, using my mission communications and strategic planning skills with over 30 years of NFP education-based and social services-based board and volunteer experience.
