"What I learned most from this project is that I have multiple parts of me. All of these parts make up who I am as a person, and I should be proud of who I am."

"I was surprised when I found myself feeling relief once I got to share one of my biggest struggles."

"I learned that I love to express myself through art and it makes me feel happy."

"I don't share enough about who I am inside."

"When I did the inside part of the mask, I was able to put things I couldn't express with words which was helpful."

We had the pleasure of bringing the Inside Out Mask Project for the first time to the incredible scholars at Cristo Rey St. Martin College Prep in #waukegan earlier this week. These are just a few comments from the #students we had the chance to work with. We are so proud of their hard work and excited to witness these scholars #thrive!

#shoutout to our Art Advocate #volunteers for making this program possible!

We've already had a busy week and it's only Wednesday! We facilitated programming with two new partners, Cristo Rey St. Martin and Gorton Center! We really enjoyed being a part of the first year students' orientation at Cristo Rey with our Inside Out Mask Project! And our first session at Gorton, with our Prompted Painting Project, was a huge hit, where we were all inspired by the prompt of "summer." ... See MoreSee Less
